Btw, I supect the local security profiles on the Windows XP boxes could be to blame as they are administered nightly, any changes can be overwritten by the ghost profile as it is installed.
But Windows software is notoriously bug-ridden. Red-Hat linux worked flawlessly all through it's deployment, running FTP DNS and Apache Web Server software. But Stupid WindBlows gives up the ghost 'excuse the pun', whenever you as much as blow on the machines. I run Debian at home, and I would not go back to Windows if you threatened me with castration!
That is the bottom line because Bejiitas Wrath said so! To paraphrase the famous Stone Cold Steve Austin.
WWE Wrestling Entertainment. but what can I do. I am a Linux person now, why am I supposed to care about the woes or lack of, of Bill Gates and his band of lamer programmers who could not write something to rival KDE3.0 if they tried all Millenium.

I have created another user with admin privileges. I hope this helps, but I suspect the real reason will be hard to find. I suspect the security profiles on the Windows 2000 Advanced Server machine may be to blame but I am not sure yet at all what the solution will be to this vexing issue.
Can any Windows 2000 techies lend us a hand in solving this problem?
We are at our wits end trying to solve this issue as we desperately need this network to well, work, ;). I wish I could offer a solution but I am not a Windows 2000 hacker by any means.

We are struggling with Windows 2000 domain woes. The Windows XP workstations are running terminal services to connect to a Windows 2000 Advanced Server machine.
But the server will not allow connections using users accounts unless in some cases you are using the same machine you were using yesterday.
This is very strange.
I can login with Admin, but this is not the perfect solution. Can anyone help?

I am working with a Windows 2000 Server Domain at the moment and the stupid server will not let anyone log in from the workstations using Terminal Services. when it worked perfectly yesterday.
Oh, well more Windows woes for us poor techies.
